Historical narratives with subjunctive, past progressive tenses. Some of us managed passive sentences and relative clauses too!

Our homework tasks were to make fighter planes and air raid shelters quickly and with little or no instruction! This was quite a challenge, possibly emulating some of the stresses workers would have had in 1940.
