Vision & Values

Our School Values

Our vision: ‘Learning together to be the best that we can be’ is deeply Christian and is rooted in bible verse John 10:10 –

‘I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.’

Our school pursues excellence in learning and teaching through our Core Christian Values or Perseverance, Generosity, Compassion and Respect. These underpin our Core Curriculum Values of Achievement, Confident and Coherence.

We aim to prepare and develop pupils who can flourish in both the present and the future through an unwavering commitment to all of our values and we expect every child to be in school every day in order to succeed.

Our School Aims

We measure our success through four interconnected strands that align seamlessly with our Core Christian and Curriculum Values: Independence, Creativity, and Curiosity, along with Collaboration.

  • In the realm of Independence, pupils employ effective strategies to support their learning, demonstrating the ability to recall prior knowledge and justify their thinking. They actively seek challenges to further their education, developing a capacity for innovative thinking while utilising both rational and lateral approaches. This enhances their ability to generate new knowledge, fostering a strong sense of self-reliance.
  • Creativity is nurtured as pupils engage in innovative thought processes, where they are encouraged to think outside the box. Their imaginative capabilities are honed through a curriculum that prioritises original ideas and creative problem-solving.
  • Curiosity is central to their learning journey, as pupils harness their naturally inquisitive nature to pursue their passions. They strive to be the best versions of themselves, asking relevant and articulate questions about the world around them.
  • Natural inquisitiveness is complemented by a strong emphasis on Collaboration, where pupils learn to work together towards shared goals. They develop an outward-looking ethos focused on continuous improvement and come to appreciate the power and benefits of collaborative working.

Through these strands, our pupils not only grow as independent and creative thinkers but also as curious collaborators, ready to navigate and contribute positively to the world around them.
