Cogden Science Unit: Animals Including Humans!

Cogden Class have been investigating the fascinating world of Animals Including Humans! Through exciting experiments, hands-on activities, and creative writing, the children explored how nutrition, skeletons, and muscles work together to keep us healthy and moving. They learned why our bodies need different nutrients, examined food labels to make informed choices, and even built working arm models to see muscles in action. Every session was packed with discovery and fun!

As scientists and journalists, the children developed their skills in observation, explanation, and reporting. They mastered key vocabulary such as nutrition, skeleton, muscles, nutrients and joints, and applied these confidently in their work. The unit ended with professional-style newspaper reports featuring headlines, quotes, and facts about their investigations – showcasing both scientific understanding and writing flair. We are so proud of their curiosity and creativity – Cogden Class are ready to keep themselves healthy and inspire others to do the same!
