Week Beginning 8/9/25

For their first unit of the year, Cogden Class explored how to stay safe, manage risk, and build respectful relationships. Starting with basic safety rules and identifying trusted adults, pupils progressed to recognising peer pressure, responding to disrespectful behaviour, and understanding how to support others.

The unit’s writing focus was diary entries, which allowed pupils to reflect on real and imagined experiences where they made safe or respectful choices. Their final pieces show thoughtful personal reflections, growing awareness of responsibility, and a strong understanding of how to care for themselves and others.
