Week Beginning: 2/6/25
This PSHE unit gave Cogden Class a powerful toolkit for navigating emotions, change, and personal growth. Through diary writing, group discussions, and reflective activities, Year 3 and Year 4 pupils explored how to recognise and manage feelings, build resilience, and support one another through life’s ups and downs. From moving house to understanding puberty, each session tackled real-life scenarios with empathy and age-appropriate guidance.
By the end of the unit, pupils had developed greater emotional awareness, stronger communication skills, and a clearer sense of self. They learned how to set goals, resolve conflicts, and stay safe—both offline and online. With a strong focus on reflection and teamwork, this unit didn’t just teach coping strategies; it helped pupils grow in confidence, compassion, and connection with the world around them.
