WB 19/5/25
The Christianity: Creation unit offered Cogden Class a reflective and creative exploration of the natural world through the lens of faith. Year 3 and Year 4 pupils began by immersing themselves in the beauty of nature, asking big questions about the world’s origins and discovering the Christian creation story. Through nature walks, storytelling, and art, they developed a growing awareness of stewardship—our shared responsibility to care for the environment.
As the unit progressed, pupils deepened their understanding of creation by engaging in thoughtful discussions, environmental action, and expressive projects. They created nature journals, contributed to a collaborative mural, and shared their reflections with the wider school community. By the end, they had not only strengthened their journaling skills and reflective thinking but also gained a meaningful appreciation of how faith, nature, and responsibility are deeply connected.
