Burton Class enjoyed their trip to Bridport Museum and Library on 9th November 2022.  The children took part in three activities including rope making, a look around the museum and a discussion about the paintings in the Art gallery.  We learnt all about the lives of local people 150 years ago and the children found out that boys as young as seven worked in the factories making nets and rope. Every child turned the handle on the rope making machine and we all enjoyed watching the yarn twisting over and over again to make a rope.  At the library we shared books, enjoyed a story together and had a tour of the building.
