Vision, ethos & values

Our vision: ‘Learning together to be the best that we can be’ is deeply Christian and is rooted in bible verse John 10:10 –

‘I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly’

 John 10:10

Our ethos is: ‘Stepping out of the ordinary – being empowered to live a life well lived in all its fullness’ and our vision and ethos are supported by our school values.  For every child, every day.

Our school pursues excellence in learning and teaching, encouraging every child to seek and achieve their potential within an ambitious and wide ranging curriculum.  We provide high-quality teaching and support in a nurturing environment allowing each child, regardless of ability or need to succeed. We promote wellbeing focusing on individual rights, responsibilities and Christian values at the very heart of everything we do.  We expect every child to be in school every day in order to succeed.

Our School Aims

  • To provide a rich, exciting and ambitious curriculum that engages and motivates children and in which every child can develop fully as an individual and achieve their full potential.
  • To provide opportunities for every child to feel part of and be able to contribute to the school, local and global community through the teaching of Christian values, rights and responsibilities.
  • To develop motivated, inspired, resilient, independent children who have a love of learning and are curious to know more.
  • To provide a secure, supportive, caring environment where children can develop respect for themselves, others and their surroundings resulting in pride in themselves, their peers and their school. Children are then equipped to meet the changes and challenges in their life ahead as global citizens.
