On the 3rd November 2023, Seatown Class visited Bridport to explore how the railway developed and the impact it had on the town and nearby West Bay.
We began by recording and mapping the buildings in the main streets. This proved tricky to record without tables and chairs!
We then visited the Bridport Museum to find out more about the history of the railway line, it’s development to West Bay and then it’s decline 80 years ago.

After lunch we walked along the old railway route to West Bay. We noted how the shops and buildings reflected a more touristy destination……
