For the first time, we decided to participate in the Dorset Coding Day. The aim was to enjoy learning about coding and how it plays such an important part of our everyday lives. We heard from Dorset employees who have coded robots to save people on the beach or create robots that can separate the weeds from the crops more efficiently.Â
And then it was our turn to explore coding to create our own ‘platform’ games. This proved quite hard for some of us but some of us were surprised at how much we loved it. Mr Van Zyl supported us all day and will be helping some of us further our game development.
All of our projects were shared on our class Scratch portal so that we could enjoy each others’ creation.
